Gill, Anthony “Tony” Christian – 58 of Dartmouth NS, formerly of Upper Kennetcook, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2024, at Glen Haven Manor, New Glasgow NS. Born in Halifax on Feb. 22, 1965, Tony was a son of the late William and Adeline (Neil, Hennigar) Gill. “My brother always enjoyed working on our hobby farm, taking care of the cattle with our father and cutting logs on our woodlot. He was a big-time wrestling fan.” Tony struggled most of his adult life with schizophrenia and when we lost Dad it seemed that he couldn’t cope anymore. “I wish your mental illness had not robbed you of a better life and robbed me of my brother. I hope you are at peace now and you’re with Mum and Dad again.” Tony is survived by his sister Gail (Andy), Brookfield and his two nieces Emily White and Avery Dykeman. Cremation has taken place, there will be a private family committal service at a later date in St. Peters Anglican Cemetery, Upper Kennetcook.
