Hill, Wayne William – 77 of Lower Sackville NS; After a courageous battle with cancer, it is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Wayne on February 13, 2024, at the VG Hospital, Halifax. Born in Halifax on October 16, 1946, Wayne was the son to the late Lonnie and Annie (Sampson) Hill. Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers, watching hockey, baseball and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who he was very proud of. Wayne will be missed by his wife of 54 years Heather; children Greg and Kelly (Ian) Boudreau; grandchildren Cameron, Claire, Connor and Rylan; siblings Alvin (Margie), Shirley (Jim) Baker, Kenny (Corinne), Paul (Belinda), Barry (Marie), Blair (Debbie), Kevin (Joanne) Hill; brothers-in-law Roy Fizzard and Steve (Cathy) MacDonald; several cousins, nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Wayne is predeceased by sisters Clara Edith and Karen Fizzard. The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of the QEII VG Hospital that tended to Wayne with care and compassion. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. The family also asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the JW Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 215 Summerville (Phone 902-633-2431).
