Born in Halifax on October 16, 1946, Wayne was the son to the late Lonnie and Annie (Sampson) Hill.
Wayne enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers, watching hockey, baseball and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who he was very proud of.
Wayne will be missed by his wife of 54 years Heather; children Greg and Kelly (Ian) Boudreau; grandchildren Cameron, Claire, Connor and Rylan; siblings Alvin (Margie), Shirley (Jim) Baker, Kenny (Corinne), Paul (Belinda), Barry (Marie), Blair (Debbie), Kevin (Joanne) Hill; brothers-in-law Roy Fizzard and Steve (Cathy) MacDonald; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Wayne is predeceased by sisters Clara Edith and Karen Fizzard.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to the staff of the QEII VG Hospital that tended to Wayne with care and compassion.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
