MacDonald, Gloria Maxine - 77 of Truro NS; The family of Gloria is sad to announce her sudden passing on February 23, 2024, at her Victoria Street home in Truro. Born in Windsor on January 18, 1947, Gloria was the daughter of the late Ralph and Harriet (Hennigar) Patterson.

Gloria began her journey living in Halifax, working as a private nurse for UpJohn service and Northwood Care, during the 1970s & 80s until she started to have complications with her spine. She would later move to Kennetcook and Noel Shore area before spending the last 4 years of her life in Truro.

Gloria is survived by her 4 children; son Darrel MacDonald of Halifax; daughters Elaine Miller (Paul) of Northfield, Hants co, Lydia Humber-Slaunwhite (Rob), of Sackville, Loretta Humber of Halifax; 5 brothers, Garnet Patterson (Judy), Brian Patterson (Caroline), Terry Patterson (Donna), Kevin Patterson, Robin Patteson (Wendy); 5 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Gloria is preceded by her husband Jame H Macdonald.

Cremation has taken place per Gloria’s wishes. There will be a Private Family Graveside Committal in the Noel Cemetery in the spring 2024, beside her husband, James MacDonald.

A Celebration of Life for Gloria will take place on March 30, 2024, in the Noel Fire Hall from 2 to 4pm.
