Alden Scott Harvey. Age 64 of West Gore, passed away peacefully at Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro with family by his side on March 27th,2024. Alden was the son of the late Aubrey and Maude (Hill) Harvey.
Alden worked 50 plus years for Municipal Group of Companies (Dexter Construction) as a Grader Operator. His work allowed him to travel to Turks and Caico, Labrador, New Brunswick and through out Nova Scotia. He served on the Gore District Fire Department in his younger years.
Alden could be seen out for his daily tour around the community or attending coffee club @ RGM. He used to frequently visit Buck’s and Riverside Camp. In his younger years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing cards and spending time with family and Friends.
He is survived by his son Scott, his daughter Erica (Pete) Cool. Siblings: Florence (Troy) Miller, Allison Harvey, Brother-in-law Norman Roulston. Grandchildren: Mason, Jayden and Avery. Missed by several nieces, nephews and ex-wife Donna.
Besides his parents, Alden is predeceased by Stepmother Pauline (Sanford-Harvey), sister Elizabeth Roulston, son by choice Robbie Harvie.
Cremation has taken place, a Celebration of Life will take place April 14, 2024, at 1:30pm in the Gore District Fire Hall, private family burial will take place at a later date.
