Sharon Lee White (Curry) 80, passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 28th, 2024, in Cedarstone Enhanced Care, Truro with her devoted husband by her side. Born in Upper Kennetcook on May 3rd, 1944, she was the daughter of the late Gladys Curry (Gill). Mom moved to North Noel Road where she spent her days being the best mother ever to her 3 children. Then she met her soul mate and moved to Noel Road where they lived together until dementia separated them. For the past 3 years mom has lived at Cedarstone long term care facility in Truro. Mom worked at the Cara Flight Kitchen for 18 years before leaving to stay at home and become a caregiver for her oldest daughter, Stacey. Besides her family the thing she enjoyed most was bingo. Chances were if you were looking for her in the evening you’d find her at a bingo hall. Her family was the most important thing to her. She loved us fiercely. Mom is survived by her soulmate and husband of almost 35 years, Murray, Noel Road. Children, Nikki, Dartmouth, Jody (Aimee), grandsons, Riley and Keaton, all of North Noel Road. Sister’s, Bonnie (Lewis), North Noel Road. Debbie, Truro. Stepsons, Tony (Carolyn) and family, Noel Road and Donald (Trudy) and family, Gore. Many nieces, nephews, step grandchildren and step great grandchildren. Besides her mother, Gladys, mom was pre-deceased by her daughter, Stacey, sister, Wendy and brother, Hugh. We would like to thank the staff at Cedarstone for their exceptional care of mom. They became like family to mom, and she adored many of them. Dementia stole many years we should have had with mom. But in the end, she won and now she’s free. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home Hwy 354 Kennetcook, N.S. phone 1-902-362-2440 or please visit our web site at www.allenfh.ca to sign the guest book or send private condolences.
