Jimmy Lake Obituary

Lake, James Munroe-88, Windsor, formerly of Brooklyn and Bramber, passed away peacefully in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor, on September 27, 2024. Born in Bramber on Feb. 20, 1936, he was a son of the late Nathan and Theresa (Lake) Lake.


Jimmie worked many years for Ivan Forbes, both in Summerville and Dartmouth. He also worked in the Walton Quarry and on Boats that came into Walton Harbour. Jimmie did numerous jobs for many people along the shore and Brooklyn.


Jimmie flew to British Columbia in 2005 to visit his special nephew, Lewis. He enjoyed visiting and exploring Toronto, P.E.I. and several places in Nova Scotia. Jimmie was very pleased to have a visit from his nephew Danny and his wife while they were home.


He enjoyed walking everyday for his coffee or making a trip to Lisa’s Restaurant and talking to everyone on his way. He once walked from Windsor to Brooklyn.


Jimmie enjoyed country-western and bluegrass music and especially hunting with his Dad. He will be dearly missed by family, friends, and especially his sister, Beatrice.


Jimmie is survived by his sister Beatrice.


Besides his parents, Jimmie is predeceased by sisters Helen, Pearl, Leona, Ida, Joyce in infancy, brothers Grant, Delbert, and Lewis in infancy.

Cremation has taken place; a Graveside Service will be held on Friday, October 11, 2024, at 11am in the Bramber Cemetery, Bramber.
