Dr. Peter R Darlington passed away peacefully in the Dartmouth Genera Hospital, Dartmouth on Dec. 31, 2024, at the age of 84.

Born in Georgetown, On Jan. 24, 1940, he was a son of the late Ted and Patricia (Blackstone) Darlington.

He married Joan Marie Urquhart in 1961. They met while serving in the Canadian Military and lived in Germany, Washington, Texas before settling down in St. John’s NL. Where Peter along with his wife Joan, started a private dental practice in periodontics.

Upon retirement in 1995, they moved to their beloved Cape Breton Island where they split their time between Sydney and Dundee.

Peter is survived by his daughters Linda (Ray) Bath, Kennetcook, Claudia (Jacob Singh of N Vanc, son Christopher (Ann Troake), Logy Bay, NL. And grandchildren Zachary Bath, Uriah and Joshua Singh.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Joan Marie.
