Robert “Bob” Henry Cox-92, of North Noel Road, NS, passed away January 10, 2025, at Vimy Court Nursing Home, Bible Hill, with his daughters at his side. Born in Pembroke on April 14, 1932, he was the son of the late Edgar and Elizabeth Mae (Patterson) Cox.

Bob trained in a variety of trades, including Aviation Maintenance at Fairey Aviation, Sheet Metal Work at Western Plumbing and Heating, and as a Maintenance Foreman at IMP, retiring in 1997.

Bob enjoyed swimming, whether it was in the tide water of the Bay of Fundy, Cobequid Bay, or later in Black Rattle Lake at his cottage. He played golf, bowling, darts, attended music jams, reading, doing puzzles and travelling around the province, initially with his family and then often with a grandchildren or great grandchildren by his side. He was very social and loved to visit, often dropping into visit family and friends. His favourite summer pass time was mowing his lawn, which he took great pride in.

Bob lived at Vimy Court for the past three years and enjoyed the activities; listening to music events, especially spending time in the outdoor courtyard, and doing puzzles.

Bob is survived by his daughters Jackie (Emerson) White, Kennetcook NS and Sandra (Barry Duncan) Cox, Lower Sackville; three grandchildren, Jenette White, Inuvik NWT, Jennifer White, Kennetcook, NS and Justine Poirier (Don), Calgary AB; four great-grandchildren, Logan White, Blake Kitchin, Joshua Poirier and Sophia Poirier; two siblings, Randy Cox (Valerie) and Penny Sanford (Jolson); brother-in-law Wilson Gould; sisters-in-law Norma Cox, Sandra Cox; many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Bob is predeceased by his wife Cora (McCulloch) who he married on March 15, 1958; Sisters Agnes Gould, Jean Lake, Minnie Burgess, Karen Brown; Brothers Donald, Edgar Jr., Marvin, Francis and Kenny; In-laws Dennis Lake, Mickey Burgess

The family would like to thank Vimy Court for the compassionate care provided and a special thank you to the caregivers in Miller Lane.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. July 19/25 in St. Pauls United Church Cemetery, North Noel Road. Rev. Natalie Buchanan Rutherford officating and a reception to follow in the North Noel Road Community Hall (Green Hall)
