Obituary of Theodore Winchcombe

Winchcombe, Theodore Ernest "Teddy" passed away peacefully at home in Clarksville on December 15, 2013. Born in Halifax on April 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Edmund and Densel (Mason) Winchcombe. Teddy was proud to be born and grow up in the Hydrostone. He is survived by his wife, the former Elaine Clark, his daughters Terri (David Gilbert), Belnan and Erin, Clarksville, his son Trevor, West Gore, and his beloved grandchildren, Brittany and Travis Winchcombe and Sophia and William Gilbert. He is also survived by sisters Valerie Jackson, Halifax, Janet Mills (Ron), West Bank, B.C., Elizabeth Stewart (Gordon Fenton), Clarksville. Cremation has taken place; there will be no visitation. The funeral will be held at St. Paul's Anglican Church, Centre Rawdon at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 19. Private family interment at St. Stephen's Cemetery, Stanley. The Reverend Carson Baxter officiating. Reception to fallow at the Stanley Community Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Stephen's Anglican Church, Stanley, c/o Shirley Tanswell, 627 Highway 236, Stanley NS B0N 2G0 or the VON Colchester-East Hants , 14 Court St., Suite 100, Truro NS, B2N 3H7.
