Obituary of Ronald Sanford

Sanford, Ronald Elmer-79, Three Mile Plains, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2014 at home, with his family by his side. Born in Curry's Corner on February 28, 1934, he was a son of the late Arthur and Gladys (Sanford) Sanford. Ron was employed at Fundy Gypsum for 46 years and enjoyed being out working on his farm. He treasured his time spent with his family, Church family and his animals. Ron is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Regina (Spencer), son Randall (Tracey), grandson Joseph, brother David (Joan), sister-in-laws Polly, Pauline, Florence, Hilda, nieces, nephews and special nieces Angie and Stacy. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by brother Arthur "Junior" and sister Audrey (John). A very special thank-you to Dr. James Leahy who not only was a Doctor but a friend. Cremation has taken place with visitation Sunday February 9, 2014 from 7-9 p.m. with a celebratation of Ron's life on Monday February 10 at 2 P.M. both in the Street Level Ministries Church formerly (The Community Light House Church), 2039 Wentworth Road, Newport Station. Pastor Marshall Caldwell and Pastor Burt Walsh officating with interment at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Street Level Ministries, c/o Sylvia Gee, 39 Fletcher Lane, Ellershouse, N.S. BON 1LO or the Lower Burlington Church Sunday School c/o Margaret Spencer, Windsor, N.S. BON 2TO or charity of choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J.
