Obituary of Kathleen McDonough

McDonough - Kathleen Marguerite, 87, of Belmont, Hants Co., N.S., passed away on May 8, 2014 in the Hants Community Hospital, Windsor. Born in Summerside, P.E.I. on March 19, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Alice (Grady) Barwise. Kathleen loved gardening, hooking rugs, and she was an animal lover; her dogs and cats meant the world to her. She is survived by her brothers Alfred (Sumie), Ralph (Shirley), Wally (Joan), and Gerald (Carol); and by sister-in-law Marion (Dexter) Lynds. Kathleen was predeceased by her husband William "Bill" and sisters Marjorie and Lillian. Cremation has taken place with no visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2014 at 2:00pm at the J. Wilson Allen Funeral Home, Summerville, Pastor Betty Parker officiating with a private family interment to be held at a later date. Family flowers only. Donations in Kathleen's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, SPCA, or charity of one's choice. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the J.
