Russell (Mary), Robert (Sandy) & extended family, My deepest sympathy to you all on the loss of your Mother and my Aunt Emma. I recall many happy times spent with her and Uncle Ira. The great smells of cookies and meals shared in a tiny kitchen where I didn't have to drink warm milk. She cleaned up after me many times, always being soft spoken and kind. Her quilting and knitting were great skills she had. I am proud to say her quilts have kept me warm for many years. Memories are great, so hope yours will help you through this next step in your lives. Reta

Sorry about Emma's death and I didn't know she was in a home in Lower Sackville, I quilted with Emma in East Gore Hall and I always liked her. I used to call her once in a while when we lived in South Rawdon. I remember Emma bringing Kimberley to the hall when we were quilting. Such a lovely little girl who Grammy obviously thought the world of . She lived to a good age and I hope her last days were not painful or distressed. . She will be missed.

Most sincere sympathy to all the family. I shall never forget the year 2000 Emma helped me piece together a heritage quilt with pieces from all the school board schools. We worked at her home during a snowstorm and became so involved I almost became stormed in. However, I traveled home and Emma, bless her heart, completed the quilt. It was a work of art and displayed proudly in Central Office in Truro .
