When I think of Wanda, the first thing I remember is her laugh. It was big and happy and you couldn’t help but join in. My second best memory is when she and I and my Dad (Hermie Sanford) were sitting on our doorstep and Wanda randomly mentioned she would love to know how to pull power turns. Dad threw her the keys to his car and off she went. She was at it for ages, laughing and hooting and tearing up the field between our house and the Walton cemetery. And the best part - I got chewed out by a neighbor a few days later. For some reason the neighbor refused to believe it when I said “not me”. And Wanda laughed more! A dear friend from back in the day. You will be missed.

I cannot imagine losing someone I love so suddenly....Wanda was an integral cog in this community in so many ways.
