Eddy, Wanda Charlene – 59 of Gormanville, it is with great sadness the family announces the sudden passing of Wanda on December 19th, 2021, quietly in her sleep at home. Born in Windsor on December 13th, 1962, she was the daughter to Margie (Ward) and the late Milton Lake. Wanda was a pillar in the community, where she dedicated much of her time. She worked at the Cobequid Elementary School as the “lunch lady” to many students over the years, anything the teachers needed, Wanda was the go-to girl. You could also find her at the Hants North Legion cooking up a storm in the kitchen for wing nights and suppers. Wanda dedicated many years volunteering for minor league baseball in Minasville and helped many kids further develop their skills. She also enjoyed sewing as a hobby in her spare time, making masks and quilt blocks for who ever wanted them. Wanda spent summers volunteering at the music festivals in Kempt Shore, where she loved a weekend of good music and friends, rain or shine. She spent many nights driving her mom and friends to jam sessions and offering her beautiful voice in song to raise money for many charities and fundraisers throughout the community. Wanda dedicated her heart and soul to all she knew, putting everyone above herself, and never asked for anything in return. She was a very humble person and took pride in making sure everyone was well supplied with bake goods and good food. The title she held with most pride; was “MeMe” to her youngest grandson Hunter, they had a very special bond that will last forever. Wanda is survived by her husband Peter, sons David (Jill), Danny (Bria) and Ryan, her grandchildren, brothers Kevin (Theresa), Harold (Crystal), Dwayne, sister Dorothy White (Shannon), mother-in-law Alice Eddy, numerous nieces and nephews that she loved dearly and her very best friend Patti Gass. She is predeceased by brothers Randy and Curtis, maternal grandparents Alverta and Nathan Ward, paternal grandparents Trentholm and Dorothy Lake, father-in-law Brent Eddy.
