Colter, Michael Alexander - 41 of Union Corner, passed away on December 26, 2024, in the Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville due to complications from a lifelong battle with rheumatoid arthritis. Born in Halifax on July 17, 1983, he was the son of Clinton (Pam) Cogswell, Port Willams and Karen (Brian) Valliere, Connecticut USA. In his early years, Michael loved fishing with his Grandad Don, and spending time with is Grandmother Sheila, joining them on trips to Florida. He also enjoyed going on trips in the truck with his dad, Clinton. Michael loved caring for his great friend Jack before he passed away. He enjoyed his time and fellowship, when he attended the Baptist Church in Falmouth. Michael is survived by his parents along with his brothers John, Saskatchewan and Scott, Connecticut, Grandfather Donald Colter and Grandmother Maryann Cogswell along with many aunts and Cousins. Michael is pre-deceased by his Grandmother Sheila Colter, Grandfather Clinton F. Cogswell. Along with his beloved canine companion, “Jack”. A private family service will be held at a later date. Donations in memory of Michael can be made to the I.W.K Children’s Hospital, Halifax or to Harvest House Community Outreach, Windsor. Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of the JW Allen Funeral Home, Hwy 215 Summerville (Phone 902-633-2431).
